1st and 2nd class were busy estimating and measuring the capacity of different containers this week. We used blocks to measure the capacity of our pencil case and lunchbox and then use half litres of water to record the capacity of buckets, bowls and basins!!
We estimated the capacity of lots of different containers and set them up from smallest to largest. We were surprised that some containers had a greater capacity than others even if they didn’t look as tall or wide !
