Science week in Junior and Senior infants
16th Nov 2025
The young scientists in the junior room had a very busy science week. They carried out lots of fun experiments. On Monday they saw how tissue paper absorbs water by making wriggly worms. On Tuesday they explored what happens when you put pencils through a bag of water and watched some white flowers change colour when you food colouring to their water.
On Wednesday we looked at chemical reactions and made a balloon inflate by mixing an acid and a base. On Thursday we examined the effects of putting gingerbread men into a variety of liquids and finished the week off on Friday by making ice cream in a bag.
